DHM that is just the way I have broken them up on the ftp box into directories, so there won't be such a huge number of files in one directory making a listing really long. 42p means 4 pieces for one side, 2 for the other, the p means that at least one of the 6 pieces is a pawn, possibly more. ie KRBKRN is a 33 file (no p as there are no pawns) while KRBKRP is a 33p file... hope that helps...
