Hi Wilhelm,

Cm10th is a different proposition altogether from my observations to date.
Flank play is exceptional, but often at neglect of the centre. This is why Cobra
(my latest effort) has control of centre set at both 125 for own and opponent.
CM10th seems to be very active by default. I've reduced the mobility rating for
Cobra to 90 to make it more restrained. Mobility for opponent is 110 to try and
prevent the opponent from gaining spatial dominance.
King safety is vastly improved in CM10th. Steadfast is winning Super Tournament
UK with a king safety setting own 105 opponent 100. CM10th is good at protecting
its king and is a better attacker than CM9000. Cobra has own 110 (tried 120 with
Tsunami - more of a negative influence than positive though) and opponent 100.
Passed pawns is a great area of concern from what I've seen, perhaps even
slightly more so than with CM9000. My comments on this area for CM9000 also hold
true for CM10th. Cobra has own 95 opponent 130! I know that you have grave
concerns about CM10th's endgame play too!
Pawn weakness. What I explained for CM9000 also holds true for CM10th although I
think CM10th has a better understanding in this area. Cobra has 110 for both own
and opponent.
Material settings - what I said for CM9000 also applies although I'd like N=3.1
B=3.15 better! (shame I can't do this!)
Selectivity 14 seems to be most popular although Jason Kent feels that 13 might
be slightly stronger.
I don't like to fiddle with the A/D or M/P settings unless there's an obvious
problem.

Regards, Graham.
