It is one thing when you go on about matters of opinion, it's another when you
go on about stuff you don't know anything about, when other people here do.
The reason EGTB's can slug a search is that you may start out in a position with
many pieces, but there are a great many ways to simplify the position into an
EGTB ending, and each of these involves a lookup.
In these cases, node rate can drop to almost zero.
