Hello, A DVD unit let's ou play discs with much more capacity as well as the normal CD'S. You don't have to worry by now. The only thing is that the standard for the DVD technologie is not yet unified, so there are several companies offering DVD's units which are not compatible. Only thing you have to do is bet the technologie of your unit will be the MARKET winner and that the software makers will choose it for their DVD's discs. Best Regards, Rafael
