Subject: Sensation at Freestyle Blitz

Author: Ingo Althofer

Yesterday, the Freestyle Blitz tournament (7min + sec,
7 rounds) took place in a very nice atmosphere.
And we had a full sensation:

Very convincingly (with 7 out of 7) a truely
mixed team (human(s) + computer(s)) won in front
of two pure engines (both with 5.5 points).
Team leader of the winner was some Dr.Ex (Michael
Drexel from Bavaria).

We are in high tension if the winning team will
participate also on the next Saturday (22 January,
14:00 MET in "Hall of Freestlye" on playchess.com).

Deadline for application for this "slow" tournament
(7 rounds with 12 min + 5 sec bonus per move) is on
Tuesday evening.

Details at
http://www.team-oh.de/FreestyleBlitz/index-e.htm

Complete reports on both tournaments will appear
in the electronic magazine CSS-online.
