> > Hi.I have never really thought the Premier to be > worthwhile.Yes it has two programs in it one Fidelity > and one the Meph.Van.But both of these programs had > reduced features.I know the MV had a smaller book and > less RAM. you know Alan i never heard of this before i was under the impression that both programs were exactly the same as found in the Fidelity Mach III'S and Van 16 bit modules i will certianly research this further > And when the other program was chosen all info.stored > in the first program was lost. well that is certainly true > > And both were wooden boards. again very true the Mach III 2265 program was available in the beautiful Elite A/G board and of course the Van 16 could be used in the two Mephisto wooden boards but you know Alan,from a collecting standpoint the Premiere was the only chess computer ever released to contain two programs and so it is a very important computer historically in addition it was the very LAST computer sold under the Fidelity label ,again of interest historically now dont get me wrong..i am not saying the computer is worth $1500-$2000 only that i an guessing this will be the selling price the Elite Premiere when it was released in 1992 Brand NEW sold for less then $750 but i can tell you this.. i got my Premiere by trading away a Mint in box Tasc R30(V2.5)-SB30. however i did get two other wooden computers as well Best Steve
