Hi everyone, I am the seller of the Elite Premiere and the Phantom with the wooden pieces! I don't visit this forum much anymore, but stopped buy to announce the auctions - but I see the collectors have already found them. With regard to the phantom - yes the pieces from the Novag Emerald Classic work great and look great too! Anyone interested might check with Schach Niggemann - I bought the pieces there (intended for a different computer) a couple of years ago for roughly $15 or so. I have nothing to do with the other auction that had wood pieces on a phantom - I see it caused some controversy! I don't know if the wood pieces on that machine worked or not - they looked bigger in the photos than mine. Anyway, I bought my first chess computer back in 1986 (A TurboStar 432) - and have collected many since then. Now I have decided to clear out the collection. I really don't use them at all - how can I when I have so many :). I will probably hold onto a few, but I am not sure which. It is kind of sad to dismantle a collection like this, but since I moved house about a year ago, they have been locked away in a closet. Some of the others that might show up on e-bay include: Another Phantom Mephisto Bavaria with Genius 68030 and almost a full set of spare pieces. (my personal favourite) Mephisto Magellan, Vancouver modules and Exclusive/modular boards. Novag Universal Board with Sapphire II and distributor box A slightly quirky Saitek Galelio with Analyst D 6MHz. And many smaller computers including: Saitek Simultano Novag Constellation Forte (5Mhz) Novag Emerald Classic Fidelity Designer 2265 Fidelity Par Excellence Fidelity Excellence Voice Saitek Virtuoso etc. One thing is for certain - I am keeping my Turbostar 432 :) - I had to save for months to buy that when I was a college student. Anyway, good luck to anyone who is also an e-bayer. Oh - and thanks SteveB for your kind statements :). I won't be trying to outbid you anymore :(. John.
