Oh: A p.s. based on earlier posts: My Novag Emerald Classic came with plastic pieces, and these do not work on the Phantom. The Novag Emerald Classic Plus comes with wood pieces (I just bought the pieces, have never owned the plus machine) - and these do work with the Phantom. I assume that the Karpov 2294 pieces are the same as those from the Emerald Classic Plus (as SteveB suggested), and should work. It was just luck that I happened to buy the Classic Plus pieces (to 'upgrade' my Emerald Classic) and noticed that the magnets were unusally strong and the pieces very light. Until then, I had what I considered to be a second Phantom for spare parts :). John.
