Subject: slow speed tournament

just got Fritz532 in the mail 2 days ago. Thought you might like to see a
tourney I ran on my slow 486dx2-50, 24 meg ram, used 8 meg hash tables, fritz
mark about 12 to 15 or so. On my wifes computer-pent II 266, fritz mark is about
159. I will be working on putting up a web page in the future (weeks, not hours)
so will post games there. Does this show that chess engines have not come that
far since 1990 or so? If you take away speed and big ram hash tables, are they
about the same?? Could be just bad luck also. Has been said before in here, must
play alot of games to see any real consistancy. Just wondering.
