If you ever have a desire for revenge against the computer, try loading Winboard
or Arena and one or more of these silicon punching bags:

Program: computed Elo:
Golem 0.4 1648
Enigma 1.1.4 1643
Beaches 1.52 1620
Adamant 1.5 1619
WESP 0.8 1612
Damas 6a3 1590
Hokus Pokus 0.43 1580
LarsenVB 0.05.01 1575
Zotron 4.4.6 1558
StAndersen 1.31 1557
Needle 0.53.1 1549
Cefap 0.7.2 1540
Ozwald 0.43 1535
Mint 2.3 1512
Pooky 2.3 1512
Murderhole 1.0.10 1508
Yawce 0.16 1420
Excelsior 2.32b 1418
Nero 5.3 1398
KillerQueen 1.0.1 1395
Chad'sChess 0.15 1135
Geko 0.4.3 1006

I can recommend Chad'sChess 0.15 and Golem 0.4 as being stable, because I have
played lots of games against them. Chad'sChess 0.15 is really a bit too easy
even to have fun against (but if you have children, it is a good target for them
to ply against when they are first learning), but Golem is very stable,
occasionally makes a good move, and never complains a lick when you beat the
snot out of it. It's just like playing your buddy, except he won't get mad when
you beat him seven straight.
