I am still an active tournament player, but mainly for my chess club nowadays, my last single competition was around 7 years ago. OTH I am also running tournaments between programs, but I never had run a program on a chess server, because I am not interested in this. Instead I play fast chess for myself on servers. > > 2) Have you ever played chess against them?Have you ever won one game? > I would hazzard a guess and say no. Of course I did and yes I also had some wins in the past against various programs. I noticed though that playing better vs. programs seems to hurt my performance in Human tournaments. > > 3) Have you ever played a chess game against the old Mephisto Vancouver 16 > bit at tournament time levels and won a game honestly? IIRC the Boris was quite weak and at the time of the SuperConny the outcome was about equal. I got much stronger later in the nineties, as I had started quite late with club chess in the mid eighties. > > 4) You are not a chess player...............Alain See above... Guenther
