Computer-like styles are very annoying to humans. I use engines to analyze my games for mistakes. I also use them for relaxation whenever I pit an extreme engine (CSTAL for instance) against weaker engines. The way the extreme engine crushes the weaker engine is very educational, chesswise. > > 2) Have you ever played chess against them?Have you ever won one game? > I would hazzard a guess and say no. I keep a record of my serious (long time controls) games vs my old Kasparov Travel Champion (rated 2330+ USCF). I may have mastered it, for I can play almost any opening and beat it repeatedly (without repeating the same lines). I rarely play vs pc engines (the screen is a strain in the eyes). > > 3) Have you ever played a chess game against the old Mephisto Vancouver 16 > bit at tournament time levels and won a game honestly?
