I know how hard it is........Alan i have had better days in terms of playing ability as a much younger man i played for my University team and peaked at just over 2000 after graduating i played correspondence chess and peaked at just under 2000 in those days(late 70's early 80's )there were no pc chess programs ,so there was no question if other players were using computers.even the dedicated computers then were not very strong..so everyone had to make their own moves soon however computers became stronger and players would use them against me so i stopped playing correspondence as well today i play my dedicated computers only and i play sometimes on the chess servers..but only as a guest and only unrated games the cheating is too rampant to care about a rating if i had to guess i would say i am now perhaps 1850-1900 Best Steve
