The programs don't play like the "experts", and >none of the "experts" can beat the programs. that is probably true the 30 players used to make up the panel were rated at or near 2000 Elo which is the Expert category sinse the top programs are all at or near 2800 Elo the panel of expert players would not score many points however the point was not to create a powerfully strong program only a program that would make similar moves to the panel..or similar moves to how a human would play
