as i mentioned..i would happily and eagerly take the rook
in fact if i had a mate with the Knight on B6 or NO mate by taking the rook,but
i am now up a Knight a pawn and i can still win albeit it in several more moves
by eventually Queening the pawn..i would go for the Rook only to prolong my
opponents misery and instil in him/her such a mental depression that it would
cause him/her to play like a child should we ever meet again in future
competiton
and let me add..i would play out those remaining moves VERY slowly  using every
last second on my clock(hours even) to punish him/her  for not resigning  in the
first place
