I wanted to use ProDeo under Chess Informant's Expert lite program. It did not work. When I contacted the programmer, s/he said the following: "I've tried using rebeluci.exe manually, typing the commands. Program either didn't produce any meaningful information or crashed after some period of time. The sequence of commands is as follows: post ponder off uci isready setboard go infinite After this, program usually crashes, but not immediately. I would be able to help you if I had got it to work manually, but something is obviously not right. It should not crash, even if I'm not posting valid commands." Then I tried the following: " uci idname ... uciok isready readyok ucinewgame go info depth 1 score 1" after which the program crashed. Is there a problem with ProDeo's UCI handling or is this another instance of the dangerous, semi-knowledgeble user in action? Thanks for your time,
