Go up one level in this thread
Yes, it has brought some memories from the previous posters. My dad gave
as a gift on December 1979. I have one also and it still works to this day. I
didn't keep the box, but I do have the owner's manual. If you wish to have more
information about CC7 type in the search engine under Subject and type in "1979
Fidelity". This was my first computer. The most important thing is that it
taught me chess in order to become the local scholastic chess champion each year
from 1979 to 1986 in which it gave me such high esteem back then in school (just
2 losses and a draw and the rest were wins).
Back in 1979, I did not have a tutor on chess except the CC7. I had 50
losses on Level one. I progressed a couple of years to Level six which is 6
minutes per move. The buttons on the rightmost side gave me problems years
later like the previous poster said.
Now, it's a waste of time to play it because I have found a 14 move mate?!?
on 4 ply or 6 minutes per move.
