the CC7 has alot of signifance to you..pity your keyboard is becoming defective

there are so many CC7'S on Ebay ,each selling for a price cheaper then the
next,you might want to consider getting another one in mint condition,for no
other reason then sentimental value
here is an auction for what looks like a pristine CC7 in box with manual and
pieces
