Enrique, Thankyou for your suggestions. The problem with G6 not responding to J5 was in fact due to the timeout setting in G6 being set too low (50 minute setting which in fact was 50 seconds). I now have another problem where it is not at all obvious to me how to get J5 to play white with the autoplayer. Chessbase seem to think according to their instruction manual, that owners of J5 will only use the autoplayer to play J5 against itself in which case it doesn't matter who is white. Also, I am given the option of only autoplaying one game at at a time. Do you have any ideas on these problems? Regards Steven
