Go up one level in this thread

However that said, the last couple of months I have become addicted to searching
>out your posts and to look in detail at some of the fabulous items you post
>links for

.

>people like ME!

hi Sarah
i thank you for those kind words

i hold the same exact opinion as you regarding the high prices now seen on Ebay
for chess computers
i am not at all pleased that it takes a good portion of ones life savings to buy
a nice chess computer
let me add that it wasn't always this way on Ebay
these "over the top" prices seen as of late are more of a recent development
which hopefully will soon pass.

well i certainly will try
i have been posting more now then usual because of a recent car accident which
has me home bound and with more free time, but once my wounds heal my posting
will go back to normal levels, which for me was 2-3 per night

for the new models no place is better then our sponsor..ICD
www.chessusa.com

for the older computers however Eric Hallsworth of Selective Search maintains a
list of second hand computers at very reasonable prices
you might want to check in there every now and again:

you mentioned the Fidelity Elite which shows you have good taste

in an effort to feed your newly found addiction ,below are some photos of my
Elite Avant Guarde Version 9
Fidelity released the Elite A/G in 12 different versions.
in Version 9 they outfitted the computer with a 68030 processor

if you look at the serial number closely you will notice it is no.10
only about 50 version 9's were made

sometimes a nice wooden case costs even more then a chess computer but without
the original box one has to think of something:
