Subject: Collector's Corner..The Hobbits Of Wooden Chess Computers

Little is usually written about Newcrest/CXG computers
perhaps this is because the CXG brand was never popular in North America(due to
a lack of distributorship) or even in many countries  in Europe

although most of their computers were small hand held portables , they did
release several wooden ,auto-sensory computers before going belly up in
1991-1992

programmers for CXG ranged the full spectrum from  David Levy and Franz Morsch
to Richard Lang and others

their wooden boards were never tournament sized and all were a bit smaller then
the Mephisto Exclusive board
beautiful wooden computers to be sure,but certainly an odd size..
