hi adam, having 200 seperate wb.ini files sounds unwieldy. although i finally figured out to edit wb.ini i have reverted to my old method on my new machine until i get ambitiuos again. here is part of my text file. i just cut and paste into the start up box. a little unwieldy, but its also a good way to test your paths. crafty.exe /fd= c:/crafty crafty.exe /fd= c:/crafty ruffian.exe /fd= c:/ruffian101 ruffian.exe /sd= c:/ruffian101 fafis.exe /fd= c:/fafis_15 fafis.exe /sd= c:/fafis_15 ges126.exe /fd= c:/ges_126 ges126.exe /sd= c:/ges_126 "wcrafty.exe bookpath=c:/crafty" /fd= c:/crafty2004 "wcrafty.exe bookpath=c:/crafty" /sd= c:/crafty2004 "crafty1917dc.exe bookpath=c:/crafty" /fd= c:/crafty1917dc "crafty1917dc.exe bookpath=c:/crafty" /sd= c:/crafty1917dc "theking.exe ncm_parm tts=67108864 ttu=8" /fd= c:/theking "theking.exe ncm_parm tts=67108864 ttu=8" /sd= c:/theking later you can cut and paste these right into the winboard.ini. besure to save a original ini file somewhere. when pasting into ini file if the .exe has additional switchs,(bookpaths, hash settings,etc..)the file there in has to be in "" ""also, they can be added manualy. ex:"wcrafty.exe bookpath=c:/crafty" /sd= "c:/crafty2004" anyways you can always change it.once you get a good ini with a lot of engines you can save it before putting in more if some thing goes bad. a single missplaced space can screw the whole thing up i believe the textfile method is a good way to add an engine even if your .ini edeting skills are good as you can spot the path bugs right off with out messing things up. hope this helps. regards mike
