Yeah... :) I read this first because it was near the top of the list. A little exploring below and at the shredderchess.com site answered that question. But I still don't know if the Classic Shredder 1.2 GUI will handle .cbh format. That's the main reason I stayed with the CB version of Shredder 8 because all of my databases are in .cbh format. The old .cbf format doesn't work very well, and I don't want to have to convert everything into big .pgn files. The same for my opening books, all of which are in .ctg format. Will Classic Shredder 1.2 GUI handle them? Probably not, so I'll probably get the CB version of Shredder 9. But I'm not sure. I find all of these dichotomous releases of Shredder 9 very confusing, in general, and I don't really like it. Maybe I won't buy it at all. I don't know. Time will tell. I would have bought it in a minute if it had been released in simple fashion like Shredder 7 or 8. Now I'm just confused and don't know what to do. WP
