Don't know.  But I suggest unless that you are plugged in to an outlet, do NOT
use the pondering "on" feature.  No PDA will last more than 2 or 3 hours (in
somecases not even that with "pondering on" PDA on has been my experience.

That doesn't answer your question and if I have a chance, I will test.  It also
very important to charge the Zire 31 4 full hours as soon as you get it out the
box and before using.   Otherwise, the battery may never accept a full charge.

I do not have a Zire 21, but maybe somebdy else does.
