Subject: For Dieter Bürßner : user-adjustable settings in Yace ?

Dear Dieter,
Yace already has one of the smartest userbook creation features among all free
engines. That's why I am using it to test a few openings ideas of mine on ICC (I
run Yace as Tweetie there).
In the Yace forum, you said once "Perhaps I am going to release a version that
has hundreds of user settable values, which will include the material values of
all pieces."(Posted: Mon Dec 06, 2004).
It's my greatest hope to see you following this path!
When you consider the tremendous performance progress that has been achieved
since The King engine parameters have been adjusted by an enthusiastic community
of (pirate) amateurs (+100-150 Elo ponts maybe), I feel comfident that Yace
could follow and come back amongst the very best programs.

I would be glad to test such possibilities.

Thanks a lot for the good work,
...and keep going!

Marc Lacrosse
