Yace material only, does not claim in any way, that "only" at move 6 a pawn can be won. The time, when the 2 pawns are won, do not matter at all for it, as long as they are won inside the search horizont. Possibly one could save material for longer, but will lose more later (all inside the search horizont). To answer the question: "How long can black keep his material together", one would need different algorithms (and a good definition what is "losing a pawn"). Regards, Dieter
