OK Steve but I see you have some time on your hands.

Now the Tuniermaschine was a poor choice. Who really wants to swap Mephisto
programs that are too strong to beat and are very similar anyway. Besides I
haven't even seen one.

The MGS is just a sentimental choice.

I can't get the name right of the 03068 London Genius but it is strong, nice
board, good features, easy to use, modular, has a handy case which minimises set
up time, it feels good.

The Tasc R30 is very strong, the piece recognition excellent, the menu system
good, the wood easy to dent, the set up time a bit lengthy, the board and
information display excellent. Perhaps the best for playing chess and it feels
good too. Shame it thrashes me.

The Renaissance Sparc is strong, noisy, the board slightly lacking in "class",
the pieces undersized for the board. I have always been a sucker for LCD
displays. Very nice to use and with heaps of character. I like it a lot.

There is something about the Fidelity Elite Premiere. Gorgeous board, two
programs, enough options to sink a battleship. Of course you have to work to get
only a proportion of the information you get on a plate from a Tasc.

OK I am ready to reach a decision.....

It is now between:-

Tasc R30
London Exclusive
Renaissance Sparc
Fidelity Elite Premiere

I hope that has cleared up my choice
All the best
Mike
