great post!
sadly all dedicated computers ratings fall as time passes

i have rating lists from 1985 to 1995
the Mephisto Amsterdam first appeared as over 2100 Elo and now not even 1950
the Mephisto Dallas at first was 2175 and now not even 1975

there are two reasons for this:
FIRST..at first the computer is rated higher  and then as more games are played
especially against  stronger computers the rating will fall

Second..about 5 years ago ALL dedicated computers suffered a 100 point reduction
on the SSDF lists to adjust for ratings inflation,with many of the old dedicated
units never re-tested
