hi ludi, not sure about those fritz variations,though i've heard of them before. one i do remember is the crafty variation of the roy lopez. 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 a6 4 Bc4(crafties move if thinking) allthough not totally new,earlier crafties played it often and very well. i believe it has been discussed here in the past. regards mike
