i run winxp home edition and i've got fritz8 - version 8.1.0.2 - not long ago and found that there quite often some unexplained FREEZE-UPS/LOCK-UPS - what ever one might call it - when my laptop needs rebooting. sometimes it needs to check the harddrive for errors etc.etc. is there anything one can do? i saw some sites where people even talk of BUGS - but no version is mentioned. i spoke to chessbase allready - and they mentioned problems with overheating wiht AMD. but i use a CENTRINO 1.6/PENTIUM M cpu. sometimes i run - while waiting lets say for a chess-problem to be solved - more than ONE task - could this have an effect? any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
