Calling them nbw and nbb may be a bit confusing. What really is meant, is that
the "left side" kx of kx-kz moves. It could be white or black. So, say white has
KQ and black has KR. White moves“: position is found in kqkr.nbw; black moves:
position is found in kqkr.nbb. Now assume white has KR and black has KQ. There
are no krkq files. White moves: position is found in kqkr.nbw; black moves:
position is found in kqkr.nbw. For positions with pawns, some mirroring is
needed when looking up positions where black is the "left side". But lots of
mirroring is needed internally anyway even for "white left side" positions in
general, to use the symmetry of the chess board.
