Here it is: [D]2r2rk1/p1q1bpp1/1p6/n2R4/8/P4N2/1B2QPPP/5RK1 w - - 0 21 Additionally, you do not say how long it took H9 to find the move. Generally, the information required to get a good idea of how well an engine does on a position is: position, engine, engine parameters (if different from the default), CPU, time to find given move Other useful information is: PV, eval, search depth, hash size CM9_R1 on an AMD 2500 finds this move in 0:20, but then gives it up a few seconds later. It eventually settles on Rh5 with a fairly good score: Time Depth Score Positions Moves 0:00 1/3 1.09 1429 21.Re1 Rfe8 22.Qd3 Red8 0:00 1/4 1.09 4779 21.Re1 Rfe8 22.Qd3 Red8 0:00 1/4 1.15 10688 21.Rh5 Nc4 22.Qd3 f5 23.Rc1 0:00 1/5 0.89 42481 21.Rh5 Rfe8 22.Rc1 Qxc1+ 23.Bxc1 Rxc1+ 24.Ne1 Nc4 25.Qe4 0:00 1/5 1.02 72737 21.Ne5 Rcd8 22.Rfd1 Rxd5 23.Rxd5 Rd8 24.Qd3 Rxd5 25.Qxd5 0:00 1/6 1.04 145965 21.Ne5 Rfd8 22.Qh5 Bf6 23.Rfd1 Rxd5 24.Rxd5 Bxe5 25.Bxe5 0:01 1/7 0.91 335045 21.Ne5 Bf6 22.Rd7 Qc2 23.Rd2 Qf5 24.Rfd1 Rfe8 0:05 1/8 1.00 1297834 21.Ne5 Bf6 22.Rfd1 Rfd8 23.Rd7 Rxd7 24.Rxd7 Qc2 0:13 1/9 0.40 3434918 21.Ne5 Qc2 22.Rd2 Qf5 23.Rfd1 Rfe8 24.Rd5 Rc2 25.R1d2 Rxd2 26.Qxd2 Bxa3 27.Nxf7 Re1+ 28.Qxe1 Qxd5 29.Bxa3 Qxf7 0:20 1/9 0.88 5372177 21.Bxg7 Kxg7 22.Ne5 Rfd8 23.Qg4+ Kf8 24.Nd7+ Rxd7 25.Rxd7 Qc3 26.Rxa7 Rd8 27.Qh5 0:26 1/9 0.96 6780735 21.Nd2 Bd6 22.g3 Rcd8 23.Bxg7 Rfe8 24.Qg4 f5 25.Qg6 Qxg7 26.Rxd6 Qxg6 27.Rxg6+ Kf7 1:09 1/10 0.96 18320629 21.Nd2 Rcd8 22.Qg4 f6 23.Qe6+ Rf7 24.Rc1 Bc5 25.Ne4 Rxd5 26.Qxd5 Qd7 27.Qh5 Nb3 1:37 1/10 1.20 26285872 21.Rh5 Qc2 22.Qxe7 Qxb2 23.Rh3 Qf6 24.Qxf6 gxf6 25.Nd4 Rfd8 26.Nf5 Nc4 2:37 1/11 1.41 43085388 21.Rh5 Qc2 22.Qxe7 Qxb2 23.Rh3 Qf6 24.Qxf6 gxf6 25.Nd4 Rc5 26.Re1 Rd8 4:58 1/12 1.07 84633761 21.Rh5 Qc2 22.Qxe7 Qxb2 23.Rd1 g6 24.Rhd5 Nc4 25.a4 Rfe8 26.Qxa7 Re2 27.Qb7 jm
