I use all 5-man tablebases,and several 6-man tablebases from Bob's site. There is a huge difference in the startup time now that I've added these 6-man files, but it is especially drastic in the case of Shredder 8. Fritz 8 and Junior 8 start up in 5-10 seconds, while Shredder takes several MINUTES to start. Anyone knows if Shredder 9 will be any quicker to initialize Tablebases? Thanks. PK
