Yes we see the whole thing from a different perspective. To me everyone with a
chess computer collection is a collector. You, me and the chap who paid $1703
yesterday for the Chesster Eyeball.

We are never likely to find common ground on this.

I have never heard of using a bidding agent for Ebay. Now you mention it they
have them at auction houses eg Sotherbys.

No doubt for Ebay this is a US innovation which hopefully will stay your side of
the pond.

I can assure you that it was my finger that pushed the key that won my Eyeball
at 2.40 am GMT. It is a lot of fun as the last few seconds approach. The idea of
missing the tension, by having someone else do it, amazes me. For me the
pleasure of collecting includes the thrill of the hunt.
