it is PC software that places a bid within the closing moments
or you can use an on-line service for it

i personally use software and i usually watch as the auction closes, unless of
course i am working or its late at night, etc etc

several of the collectors you mentioned in these last few posts use one
i know because i discussed it with them
SS for certain
most do

last time i heard Germany,France ,Spain and Italy are on your side of the pond
and so is Great Britain
they all use one over there
i know a British collector that use software to bid
sure sign that a bidder is using one is the ability to place bids time after
time within the last few seconds(less then 10)

before i used bidding software i could never consistently manage a bid within
the last ten seconds and lost out to those that did

perhaps for the Eyeball but i just quickly reviewed you last few ebay wins
6,7 11 and 4 seconds
you must have great hand eye coordination
even better then men 1/3 your age

The idea of>missing the tension, by having someone else do it, amazes me.or me
the
>pleasure of collecting includes the thrill of the hunt.

the pleasure of collecting has nothing to do with the adrenaline rush of a last
second Ebay win
thats the thrill of winning a close horse race, the adrenaline rush of a close
contest
for me my most pleasurable moments in collecting were not even Ebay related
they were trades of really rare computers made between me and other collectors
or being offered a very rare computer to purchase

if you arent already using bidding software(and you might be the only one) you
should look into it Mike
everyone on your side uses it including your own country and there is no need
to be up late at night bidding on a chess computer
or not being able to bid while at work

unless you need the adrenaline rush that is..
