What if a GM operated the computer and could force it to make certain moves (and thereby create bogus logs) and at the same time, see it's analysis (i.e. cheat) in a human/computer event (or even a computer/computer event where he could prevent certain types of moves)? His opponent would: 1) Think he is playing a computer (usually only if human, but some computers are designed to play different against computers or humans these days), so would modify accordingly, and 2) The GM would have the advantage of the computer analysis. An obscure third world GM may be able to get away with it (disguised) for a few tournaments. Due to the rarity of it, that would shock the chess world more than what happened if discovered. Isn't speculating fun? :) KarinsDad [snip]
