And just as I found a solution to the problem of my Junior 9 updating. It had to do with the DEP in Windows XP Service Pack 2. Once I set it to "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only" my problem went away. When switched to the other option only programs what has permission are allowed to execute from a remote location. That is why I wasn't able to update via the Playchess server. I just corrected it this morning and was able to update just fine, and then you post the much easier GUI8.iup file. DOH again I tell you!! DOH!! Peter
