I think you will have to test it to know what is best. Crude Rule of thumb: For lightning games, 16 meg is fine. For blitz games, 32 meg is fine. For slow games, as much hash as you can use without swapping (e.g. 1/2 of all available physical [not virtual] memory) YMMV >>In short, test and see which does better.
