Elections will be held soon once the powers that be decide if the ballot will be in normal or reverse alphabetical order.. My question.. OT posting the very first dictate of the CCC Charter states ,and i quote.. "Once a member gains access to the message board, he may read all messages and post new or response messages with the proviso that these new or response messages: 1)Are, within reason, on the topic of computer chess " however as in normal in any forum where people meet each other, friendships develop and the desire to talk about other chess related subjects does occasionally surface indeed ,in the past, threads have developed having nothing to do with computer chess some are about chess in general(current players, chess politics, history ..etc etc) some about Internet chess(cheating, various servers, etc) As a moderator,if you received a properly submitted compliant (on the Moderator e-mail form)from a member objecting to the OT nature of these posts, even though the posts relate to chess, but not computer chess,(as dicated by the charter),how would you respond? Steve
