I will be installing a second 3.0GHz/1MB Cache, Xeon, 800MHzFront Side Bus
processor that I ordered online for $337.85.

Windows XP Pro can now be purchased online for $49.95 (download only).

Total cost of dual 3.0 Ghz Intel Xeon Server, 19" Flat Screen monitor delivered
w/OS installed:

Cash              $1,317.47
Mail-in rebate      (100.00)
                  ----------
Net Cost          $1,217.57
                  =========

This is about $800 less than what I paid for in August 2001 for a dual 1.7 Ghz
Xeon. The above pricing also reflects discounted pricing available for AICPA
members (about $100 in additional discounts).

Unfortunately, it appears it will not be available in time for CCT 7.

I project this unit as configured will have A Crafty Spec of 2217 when SMP
enabled, about 30% faster than a single Operton 150 running at 2.4 Ghz. This
should be 2x of my current dual 1.7 Dell Workstation.

Enabling Hyperthreading in the bios could increase the Crafty spec faster, but I
am not sure by how much. (The Intel 3.0 processors above are HT compatible,)
