Correct if you are running a 64 bit OS, which I am not ready to do yet. Fron
the Specs results I have seen an Opteron will gain 50% when running Crafty in 64
bit mode (as compared to 32 bit mode). I do not have a 64 bit Os or 64
bitcompiler and I'm not comfortable with Linux and do have the time right now to
get comfortable. So I choose a 32 bit porcessor to run 32 bit software in an
enviroment that I am comfortable without spending a lot of energy , dollars or
both.
