Anthony,

I was just looking at buying a complete system and a dual opteron anything is at
least $2K+ built.   One could build a dual opteron 244 them selves for <= $1500.
 Which is really not bad, but it's over than the $1200 that I budgeted.
I will get 3/4 years out of it, and by that time 64bit software should be
ubiquitous.
