Subject: ProDeo and BabasChess

Hi,

I use BabasChess (www.babaschess.net) as my preferred FICS interface. By default
it uses Crafty for analysis while observing games. I would like it to use
ProDeo.

However, Babaschess says it starts the engine, but I never get any output. Other
Winboard and UCI engines (e.g. List 512, Ruffian 1.0.5) work as expected.

Is this a known problem ? Any solutions around ? Does anyone know how to get
some sort of diagnostics from ProDeo ?

Setup:

ProDeo folder copied under BasbasChess Engines directory:

Winboard:
---------

(prodeo.exe)

Commandline parameters: w5 rebel.eng
Initialization commands: xboard
                         post
                         force
Setup FEN position: setboard
Start analysis commands: post
                         analyze
Stop analysis commands: exit
Query engine status: .
Quit engine command: quit

UCI:
----

(rebelui.exe)

Commandline parameters:
Initialization commands: uci
Setup FEN position: position fen
Start analysis commands: go infinite
Stop analysis commands: stop
Query engine status:
Quit engine command: quit

Any help would be appreciated!

gr.
Jerry.
