(a) but I can use the UCI version in ChessPartner, Arena, Chess Assistant AND
ChessBase GUIs. It's not included in the ChessBase version anymore.

(b) once on the ShredderClassic GUI purchase ladder, updates will cost less than
buying the full product from ChessBase each time. E.g. I already had Shredder
Classic 1.1, so this was quite a cheap upgrade for me (< GBP 18).

(c) I bet the author gets a bigger cut if you buy straight from him than from
ChessBase.

(d) You won't get the best book from ChessBase

(e) You won't get online 6-man TB access from ChessBase.
