This was a topic of discussion on ICC a few nights ago. _Many_ people there were
upset at the different prices for the "Deep" version.

Chessbase does the same for Fritz and Junior. I really don't think it is that
out of sorts for Shredder to do the same.

Stefan is bridging out with his own interface, offering Sandro's book for
download with a valid interface, and now two versions of Shredder. From a
commercial stand point it is about percentage points. He will make more by
offering his own product than he would from the Chessbase offering.

The Chessbase offering of Shredder 9 doesn't include the UCI version anymore
either, which again was a hot topic of discussion.

I don't find anything wrong with the two versions at all. In fact I think it
makes perfect sense. He is only following the market trend.
