Subject: Shredder Classic Bench

Hello

Some may have installed Shredder 9 with the new Classic GUI.

One built in feature (but not documented) is the bench function. This function
is working independ from the loaded Engine or the choosen hash size. It is
giving the relation of the speed of the own computer to a Pentium 3 at 1000MHz.
It is working fine with AMD CPUs but seems to be a bit low for P4s. E.g. a P4
with a given Ratio of 2.0 is for sure faster than a AMD with the same ratio.
Therefore do not take this test too serious! While the test is running you do
not see anything happening. The test may last a couple of seconds on your
computer, so please be patient.

I would like to collect some numbers for all kind of CPUs. Pls type "bench"
followed by an enter when the Classic GUI is running and active. Please state
your CPU, real clock speed and ratio value.

Here is mine:

AMD XP 3000+ @ 2505MHz Bench result: 2.54 (faster Memory)
AMD XP-M 2600+ @ 2505MHz Bench result: 2.50

Thx for your work
Ingo
