G'Day Mates! This is officially the last call for participants for CCT7. The actual deadline is February 9, 2005 at 11:59pm EST. When I previously stated the dealine entry, I was incorrect in the days. As the webpage states the deadline is two days before the event. I will be handing over the list of participants to the seeding committee on February 10, 2005 so they have ample time to seed correctly and have it back to me by February 11, 2005 at 7:00pm EST. I am expecting a mild rush of participants in the coming two days and instead of updating as each one joins, I will be doing a final update on Thursday February 10,2005 at 12:00pm EST. The seedings and first round pairings will be viewable on the website by 9:00pm EST on February 11, 2005. Now I will take a moment to let everyone know how the website will work during the event. If you log on to the site, you will see the rounds listed in order on _every_ single page in the left hand table. These will guide you round by round through the event, so there is no worry if your on the wrong page... unless your looking at the wrong round :) On each of the round pages, you will be able to find the pairings, results, games, and the overall standings as the rounds progress. There is _nothing_ on them at this time. (In fact they are not even there currently) You can also log on to ICC and join channel 64 to find out all the latest happenings during the event. You can obtain a free week account and watch all the games live if you prefer. My ICC account name for the event is "CCT7". While I welcome all to come and watch, I may not respond to all tells to me. I will be extremely busy making sure the website is operating, and the rounds progress as smooth as humanly possible. All games will be downloadable in pgn format, as well as in zip format. At the end of the event, all rounds will be available in a single zip/pgn format. If you should have _any_ questions please email me at cct7@crafty-chess.com. The website for the event is http://cct7.crafty-chess.com. In the event that something happens to that server, I have a backup in place that will resume as if nothing has happened. Peter CCT7 TD
