Hi,

Thanks a lot!

As for the hardware, there are three (or even four) different computers on which
we could run Ikarus at the moment, it is not entirely clear yet.
The "top three" most likely does not pertain to the hardware in any case...

The final rank is or course extremely hard to predict accurately.
1. With such a dense field, (almost) anything is possible.
2. There may still be some strong programs to enter the tournament.
3. We will play with a more or less experimental version, which is not
incredibly well tested - the tournament will be part of the test...
4. ... (?)

With luck or bad luck in the last (two) rounds and generally in the whole
tournament, it may be possible to win the event as well as end up between rank
15 and 20. Ikarus can beat anyone and anything in any one game, but it may also
lose against many...
Anyway, with nine rounds I hope that luck and bad luck will more or less even
out. Personally, I would consider not finishing among the top ten a
disappointment, but we will see (I guess there are at least 20 serious
contenders for the top ten... :-), and I would certainly not take to the rope
even when ending up last...

Best regards - Munjong.
