Subject: Windows XP and NUMA question

Author: Gordon Rattray

Hi,

I'm currently running a dual Opteron system, with WinXP (Prof Ed.).

Up till today, I've not been aware of what a NUMA architecture was. So, I've
now read a little about the differences between SMP and NUMA architectures, and
I believe that WinXP SP2 supports NUMA (?!).

However, I'm still not sure if I can/should use NUMA for running my
multi-processor chess programs. Any further information would be appreciated.

thanks

Gordon
