My own experience with the Chessbase family of products is to never be the first
one upgrading and do not upgrade unless you are having a specific problem that
will be addressed by the upgrade.

The moniker "upgrade" is often misused by Chessbase. These are more often then
not patches. Furthermore , what the patch is supposed to do is never really
laid out to the usser and it makes it hard for the user to detemine if heed
needs to apply the upgrade. Everybody usuallly goes grab it because they think
it might be an engine upgrade. As the users can attest to, sometimes the
product was working fine before and is horrible after.

Suggestion, re-install and then just upgrade to the last upgrade you like that
did not cause any problems.

And let the other users be the guinna pigs. Wait until you see the other users
give the all clear signal.

Good luck

Michael
